Our story
Foundation of Carldora Import Export, LDA. A pioneer in Portugal in the design and manufacture of metal formwork, scaffolding and shoring.
Learning about the needs of construction sites and their construction processes has evolved with the monitoring of the application of products directly on site (assembly and disassembly), and particular attention to international markets.
Manufacturing began with scaffolding in 1979, in a garage, and as knowledge was acquired, new products were developed and manufactured. At the same time and as a GREAT SCHOOL with minimal use of bricks and plasters, the factory facilities were built in exposed reinforced concrete, with a current covered area of more than 10,000m².
Start of the automation with the acquisition of new automatic cutting and stamping machines for steel tubes and plates.
Inspired by the famous toy LEGO and with perseverance and a love of what we do, in 1983 we put together the basis of an unprecedented multi-purpose formwork system, capable of shuttering anything, which deserved to be honoured with the Invention Patent Registration No. 76533, by INPP.
At the same time, manufacturing systems evolved, with the acquisition in 1989 of the first welding robot. Today Carldora is pleased to have achieved the privilege of autonomous manufacture from raw materials.
Implementation and development of technical office engineering centre where 2D and 3D solutions are studied and presented for all types of civil and public works.
